Truly Organic, Regeneratively Raised Eggs
Our eggs come from hens raised with the highest standards of welfare and sustainability. Our hens live the way nature intended, ranging freely amongst the organic orchards and soft fruit bushes, on land completely free from synthetic fertilizers, pesticides, or herbicides.
Key Principles:
- Pasture-Raised with Purpose: Hens are reared on natural pastures without the use of chemical inputs. Our land is managed organically and regeneratively. We are certified with Organic Farmers and Growers.
- Truly Organic and Free-Range: Our hens have access to not only the organic orchards, but our soft fruit bushes and tree rich shaded areas, our hens enjoy a more natural environment than conventional commercial free-range systems.
- No Slaughter Ethos: Our farm operates on a no-slaughter policy. We prioritise the natural lifespan and wellbeing of every hen. We have a ‘hospital’ facility for hens that might need some extra TLC during the flocks cycle. These ‘hospital’ hens get collected periodically by Fresh Start for Hens (as well as some other animal charities) and at the end of the flocks cycle Fresh Start will come with many wonderful volunteers (too many to mention) and rehome our lovely ladies to approved retirement homes up and down the country.
- Extended Recovery Periods: We implement long resting periods between flocks. This allow the land to fully recover and regenerate, preserving soil health and supporting the pasture and ecosystems within it.
- Sustainable from Soil to Shell: We do not use any chemicals on our land nor do we use artificial fertilisers or pesticides. Our land is managed organically to support soil health, biodiversity, and long-term sustainability. Every part of our system; from bio fly control, to extended flock rotation is designed with long-term environmental health in mind.
- Non-GMO, Natural Feed: Our hens enjoy a diet free from genetically modified organisms, synthetic additives, and artificial yolk colourants. Ensuring a natural, nutrient-rich and delicious organic egg.
